Specifically at my school and in my district, many administrators and supervisors are concerned with the pacing of the year and teaching to the standards, which leaves room for many children to not fully grasp how to actually read, write, or comprehend. While having these standards as goals, I feel like we should have more focus and concern on basic reading and writing skills.
