Act 3, scene 5

In act 3, scene 5 Romeo and Juliet meet up. Romeo leaves and Juliet has a conversation with Lady Capulet and the nurse about marrying Paris. Juliet tells Lady Capulet that she does not want to marry Paris, she wants to marry Romeo. Lady Capulet says that Romeo is an enemy and you need to talk to her dad about it. Capulet gets extremely angry and says what a horrible and ungrateful daughter Juliet is. The song "I Will Always Love You" reminds me of this scene because it shows that no matter what, Juliet will always love Romeo, and Romeo will always love Juliet no matter what comes in between them.

In act 3, scene 4 Capulet, Lady Capulet, and Paris are talking about Juliet's love for Paris and whether or not she loves him. After the horrible incident, Capulet doesn't think he should talk to Juliet just yet about her feelings towards Paris. They believe that Juliet will listen to whatever Capulet says. They planned a wedding on Thursday. The song "I Can't Make You Love Me" and the lyrics "Because I can't make you love me if you don't" relates to this because Paris loves Juliet but Juliet does not love Paris. Juliet is in love with Romeo. Paris can't magically make Juliet fall in love with her.

In act 3, scene 3 Romeo is extremely sad that he has to move away from town because of what he did. The Nurse comes to visit Romeo and Friar Lawrence to tell them how Juliet is doing. Juliet is also very sad. Romeo says "Heaven is here because Juliet lives here". (3.3.29-30). This shows that Romeo cannot live without Juliet. The song "Without You" By Mariah Carey mentions the lyrics "I can't live, if living is without you". This relates to how Romeo and Juliet are feeling towards each other, they can't live without each other because they love each other.

Act 3, scene 2

In act 3, scene 2 the Nurse tells Juliet that Tybalt has died and the love of her life killed him. She doesn't know what to think. Juliet says "Oh, he's like a snake disguised as a flower." (3.2.74). Juliet also says "Shame does not belong with Romeo. he deserves honor, complete honor. Oh, I was such a beast to be angry with him." (3.2.92-94). This shows that Juliet was angry with Romeo at first but then realizes that everyone makes mistakes and that she still loves him. In the song "I Hate You, I Love You" represents this situation because Juliet loves Romeo, her husband, with all of her heart, but after Romeo killed her cousin, Tybalt, she doesn't know what to think.
