This helps students come up with own opinion and stance on a moral issue that is still highly relevant. I currently teach at Valley View High School 
I was born in San Jose California and was raised in San Diego, California. I graduated from UCR in 2016 with Bachelors in History and Minor in Education. I am a chicano with a indigenous name, the Aztec God of War/Sun (depends on who you talk to)- Huitzilopochtli. I am a new teacher who is excited to help provide equitable opportunities to learn and succeed in a variety of aspects of life. I am always trying to find relevant connections for my students, in order to increase engagement and show my students the "So what?". I believe we can use history to learn from the past and make better decisions for future generations. Some of my favorite hobbies are playing soccer, hanging out with friends, traveling, and creating memories.

Students were able to analyze and inquire on specific arguments that these forms of primary sources were trying to tell the American public (especially the youth)
