in the role play it was an interview of Dan, Zoe and Megan, Dan was the interviewer and he was getting discriminated mainly because he was 17 and megan got the job because she was 19, but dan had more skills and qualities than megan , he got asked different questions which was also discrimination. in that interview Zoe asked dan what his age was and replied 17 and she said "arent you meant to be in school". To avoid this zoe should have shown more positive attitude towards Dan,and shouldnt have jumped into conclusion

Disability

To avoid discrimination, there should disable access like Lifts and wheel chair or parking space. For example during the role play when Daisy was walking on the stairs with Jadene who was helping her mainly because there were no lifts in the building, and Becky badged into Daisy and laugh at her, to avoid this, there should have been a lift for Daisy to use and and should have more disable access to make it easier for disable people. this is an Indirect Discrimination .

In the role play we created Deniel was a transgender and he was getting abuse from Myself and Tamsin and it actually turned to harassment because they were shouting loads of rude and upsetting words to Deniel mainly because she was transgender. the best way to avoid this was to educated them and also to keep words to their selves.

As of 21st March 2014 Lesbian/gay are legally allowed to marry in a church however it is still down to the preist's decision to if they can marry at his/her church or not and it is not discrimination if they are not allowed however if choose to marry in a hotel, Wedding reception ect. and get turnt away that is a case of discrimination.

pregnancy and maternity

Going for a job interview if their were a women that were pregnant and a women that wasn't but the women who was pregnant had more experience and would be perfect for the position the other women may have the advantage because the employer would see that the lady who is pregnant and see that she would be neding alot of time off and would need to be paid maternity pay so therefor would be discriminated because of being pregnant.

To avoid discrimination both Males and Females should have the same chances, due tho the role play i did with Zoe and i didnt get the job because i was male and Megan got the job because she was Female and it wasnt fair. i have more skills and qualities than Megan and i still didnt get the job, which made me upset and knocked my self esteem and confidence and made me like i couldnt get a job without being discriminated against. This was a Direct discrimination.

In the role play Amy was getting angry because Kara and Tamsin kissed in class and they were getting ganged up on by Deniel, Myself, and Amy and there were two type of discrimination that was going on, they were Harassment, and Direct Discrimination. To avoid this Amy should have been more polite and should have got to know them properly and she has to keep things to herself, it’s was same sex marriage
