When  an Individual is speaking Spanish it can help them if an English word does not have a Spanish translation, by dressing up English words, in a Spanish style, they can get rid of that roadblock in communication. He is fully bilingual speaking both English and Spanish fluently. In most of his music his form of lyricism is using both English and Spanish even in the same verse especially when he counts off he will count one, two, three, and four then again in Spanish. No matter where you go Spanglish makes no distinction in terms of age, class or ethnicity. Spanglish is spoken in the radio in salsa, Bomba, and reggaeton lyrics. Spanglish has been around since Spanish-American war of 1898. Spanglish has a distinct vocabulary and different syntatic characteristic. There is palpable difference between Puerto Rican Spanglish and  Nuyorican Spanglish. In Puerto Rico Spanglish has been declared as the only official language. Depending on where it’s spoken, it can be more Spanish or more English, it's a type of code switching. Example “No tengo money.” switching between English and  Spanish. 
A typical situation in Spanglish is borrowing of  English words  and transforming it into Hispanicized ones.
