Adopting this, we already have our children immersed in the social media world outside the classroom, bringing social media to classrooms and giving them attention. Everything on your creativity, from live tutorials on Facebook to a survey on twitter, an animation on snapchat, maybe a laugh ... With the support of parents for primary school students, of course ...

I think that technology facilitate enourmosly the process of teaching/learning, becouse it let teacher adapt the process of learning to the real pupil's needs .By using technology pupil can interact not only with teacher outside school, but also with other peers to get help, or to exchange information and idea. There a large amount of tools which can be in our daily teaching. they depends on what skill we want to develop; I generally use free whiteboards on line such as : realwhiteboard, lino, padlet to exchange informations, to publish, videos, picture, and so on..; I often use google forms or titan pad to stimulate writing creativity, and voicetread to make videos with audio comments; I sometimes use e-book like Joomag to write a book in collaboration with other students.

At school, I use Google for Education (Google Drive and Classrooms) and the school website to share documents and files with students and to collaborate with my colleagues. One possible weakness or con regards the nature of our collaboration, that is often equivalent to just “sending and displaying”. However, especially for the preparation of final exams and exams simulations, our digital collaboration becomes more about processing, analyzing and sharing. There are many pros of using technology tools: webtools foster the development of transversal competences such as collaborative problem-solving, critical thinking and creativity as well as the ‘learning to learn’ competence. “Learning to learn” means to develop a problem-solving attitude and the curiosity to learn, finally leading to lifelong learning.

However, there still remain many obstacles to be overcome (at least in Greek reality): access to wifi and up-to-date devices, flexible and suitable infrastructure to support the process, mediocre level of competence in ICT skills etc. I think that e-twinning projects can gradually introduce learners to the use of technology tools. We use mainly presentation tools, like storyjumber, emaze, prezi etc.

Technology is growing increasingly and is changing the world we live in and how we learn to live. In the classroom, it is transforming education into a more interactive and exciting experience for students today. In the past classrooms were a stale environment where teachers would just give the information while students tried to gather it. Today's learning environment tends to become more cooperative, as effort is made to share information and ideas.
I believe Technology will change radically teaching and learning by being a source of knowledge, a medium for transmitting content and an interactive resource supporting dialogue and creative exploration. There is a big variety of available tools we can use in our classroom today. From my experience I could add Thinglink, Powtoon, Emaze, Tricider, Padlet, Tacck, FlipSnack, Glogster, Prezi....

I agree with Bart. Google Drive, Wikispaces, Padlet, Tricider, Stickymoose, TitanPad, TodaysMeet, Popplet are very useful tools. Another great tool for collaboration is Edmodo. This multi-platform, device agnostic, kid-safe platform is perfect for active learning – share content, have a dialogue (in or out of the classroom), and even get parents involved! A rich set of features including collaboration-enabling functions like Learning Communities and Discussions have encouraged over 34 million teachers and students to adopt Edmodo, making it one of the most popular free education tools on the Web.

I think technology can give both advantages and disadvantages to education. We must considered also negative impact of it on teaching and learning.
Teacher who depend more on the ICT do not perform well as a teacher.
For example, they may not check through the details of the work that searched from the web.
Students feel lazy to attend the class if they can easily get the study material from the web.
While the lecturer having the lesson in front, they will not pay more attention to the lecturer, and when they work togheter they cannot pay attention to the cooperative work.
Furthermore, the students sitting in front of the computer or LIM for a long time may cause health problem such as stress and eyes strain.
For all the above reasons we have to be careful when using technology. I restrict it in my k8 class. I think that teachers above all need to adapt activity on healts' students.
Here a great example to plan/assess a cooperative activity by technology
http://illaboratoriodelle7.wixsite.com/home/valutare
sorry only in italian avaiable.

I found lots of useful tools collaborating in eTwinning projects. Kahoot and Quizlet are nice to interact. From last year my grous are experimenting Scratch for different purposes: robotics and storytelling.

Collaboration is certainly a competence of the 21st Century and it is important to know how to create the necessary environment that fosters and develops collaboration among students. For this, the design of the classroom is not indifferent; the way it is organized has a great impact. It has to be an organization with flexible spaces, versatile spaces and equipment that allow mobility and enable different forms of collaboration and interaction between students. The same can be said of technology that can be powerful in promoting and developing collaborative activities. Integrating technologies into learning activities is not a condition for collaboration, but it will certainly bring significant benefits to students. Using these technologies, students can collaborate at any time of the day and at any place. To do so, there are tools such as Google Docs, Wikis, Padlet, Tricider, Todays Meet, Popplet, Facebook, Zoho, Pidgin, Skype, Blogger, Videoconference, and others that facilitate collaborative work. The use of new technologies has the advantage of being a richer and more flexible way of collaboration. With the new technologies it is easy to "bring" people into the classroom, such as experts and other students, with recourse, for example to videoconferencing. It is important to realize that technology facilitates and enables collaboration, but using technology alone does not necessarily collaborative work. That is, technology should not be the focus of the lesson, the focus should be on collaboration and it is crucial in the room of the future, whether for students or for teachers.

My students use also Tricider, smartphones for taking photos or videos and sometimes when the computer and the interactive whiteboard don't work.

Of course Information Technology usually provides easier and more fascinating ways collaborative learning, since it enables students and teachers collaborating in many ways and at any time all over the world. From the technology tools Bart presents we have used Google Docs for the co-creation of a Word document or a Presentation as well as the Paddlet for sharing ideas and brainstorming activities. We have also participated with my students to video conferences using Skype or Google Hangouts. All of these tools are quite flexible, free and easy to learn, providing many collaboration opportunities to our students. Their main disadvantage that they require a good high-speed network (either LAN or WI-FI), which is not always accessible in Greece. We have also used all the collaborative teaching and communication tools provided by Google, like Google +, Hangouts, Blogger, and we have also tested Google Goobric for students’ assessment. My students also love using the famous social networks like Facebook, Whatsapp and Viber, for creating discussion and collaboration groups for each teaching subject.

There are some strenghts of using web tools like lack of technological equipment at school or at home because still I have students who do not have internet connection at their homes. I have an on-going project on e-twinning and this is a chance for a group of students to use web tools actively in collaboration but still we have problems in terms of providing necessary devices or tools to students so some of my collegues and I try to compansate this situation bringing our own devices to school.. I started to use some web tools or softwares like kahoot, edmodo, eba, padlet, quizlet, e-twinning etc but still I have some problems about constituting majority among students and using these tools effectively. When I consider the steps of the innovation majority modelling, my school barely arises to 2nd stage ( Enrich) at present. But I do not see the situation hopeless, with the colaboration of stakeholders( I need to convince them about the importance of technology individually)so we can develop our potentials.

I really believe that technology and web2.0 app can help us in innovating our teaching and learning approches and practices. At the moment our school finally has a good wifi connection, and a good ( yet to be improved) hardware equipment. I also allow my students to bring their own devices and use them in classroom activities. They really enjoy it when we do it during classes, at school, but I still have some difficulties to get them use collaborative tools at home. In fact, many of them find all kinds of reasons (no connection? no pc - while they can do it just using their phone - the link didn't work ...the dog ate my mobile ;) ) to avoid any kind of home activity, no matter if they chose the topic of the activity themselves. And even if they should be "digital native" they often give me the impression the "label" does not fit them at all.
Except for chatting on Whatsap, they often seem very awkward in using the web, or even basic digital tools such as a word processor.

Teaching in and with the Internet and the use of web 2.0 tools achieves meaningful results when it is integrated into a structural context of changing the teaching-learning process, where teachers and students experience open communication processes, effective interpersonal and group participation. A positive aspect of the use of these tools is the acquisition of free programs (freeware) which facilitates the production of the materials.
I like and I try hard to use some of these tools in the educational context, but my favorites are those that can be used as collaborative work support, replacing the files .doc, or .pdf, allowing study groups to be held in cooperation with all students. I try to explain my students the potentialities of the use of web 2.0 tools, such as interaction and dynamic collaboration between them; the easy way to exchange of ideas, create applications and propose lines of work for certain objectives; it´s possible to view the entire history of modifications, allowing the teacher to evaluate the progress recorded. In conclusion: they can generate shared, collaborative knowledge structures that empower the creation of learning communities! eTwinning is a great exemple of that.

People in the 21st century live in a technology and media-driven environment, marked by various characteristics, including:

1) access to an abundance of information,

2) rapid changes in technology tools, and

3) the ability to collaborate and make individual contributions on an unprecedented scale.

Effective citizens and workers of the 21st century must be able to exhibit a range of functional and critical thinking skills related to information, media and technology.

The use of technology provides new opportunities of people working together and facilitate collaboration. Nowadays we have many tools that we can use in our classroom for such purpose. Is in the school that students must learn to work with technology. We must not forget that technology plays an important role, but it is not the main role in the learning experience.

I am the coordinator of the Moodle Platform of the School: http://eb23alfornelos.ccems.pt/

I am participating with my students in two initiatives of SeguraNet (Surfing in safety): The "Digital Leaders" and the 10th edition of the SeguraNet Challenges.
The "Digital Leaders" initiative is aimed at promoting behaviours for the safe use of the Internet and mobile devices. The 10th edition of the SeguraNet Challenges is intended for all public and private schools of basic education, aimed at promoting the educational community, the enlightened, critical and secure navigation of the Internet and mobile devices.

I joined eTwinning in 2014 and I have done some projects this year.My class is participating in the etwinning project: "Traveling around Europe in a postcard". We may not have the chance to travel all over Europe, but imagination can help us a lot in fulfilling our dream. This project aims to exchange postcards with students from other schools. Good thoughts and desires will also be sent. The postcards are written in English and in our mother tongue. If you give all the technological tools on education to a teacher who doesn't have the culture of collaboration then you throw your money away. It doesn't work. Using a collaboration tool successfully has to be part of the teaching process of the person who is inside the classroom to inspire students and offer them the best he can.

I`ve been working on projects with many teachers from all around Europe, and learned so much. Technology in the classroom is very useful, but we have very little of it in our schools, and need not to worry to overuse it. Still, my students like it, and it improved their communication, ITC skills, and much more. Teachers should always bare in mind that it is the tool, and should not become the aim.
Ana Fonseca, Portugal: We live in a digital world. No one doubts of that. So, Bart’s video is very important as we can easily understand that if we want to create a friendlier learning environment we have to incorporate collaborative work among students together with the use of new technologies. These will allow students to feel motivated and develop their own sense of learning. By using new technologies students can generate their own ideas, get feedback from other about their progress, and make suggestions on how to develop an idea. Some web 2.0 apps are presented in the video, and as an English teacher I already try to make my classes as interactive as possible, so besides Padlet, Facebook, Twitter or all Google Docs, I also use Kahoot, Socrative, Puppet Pals, Edmodo, GrammarBase,Pixton to create comic strips, Powton, Scratch and Taxgedo.

Web 2.0 applications are powerful instruments in developing collaboration activities in the classroom and outside. My students and I make a consistent use of different tools for multimedia presentation, brainstorming, word cloud generators, collaborative writing, etc. Our students are into technology, thus the use of technological tools in the classroom is an exciting opportunity. In addition, those magical apps foster creativity and offer all of our students the opportunity to play an active role in the classroom. Yet, we mustn't forget that our focus isn't the technology itself.

During this course, our nursery school has joined the e-twinning project. It is a great challenge for the team since we are few schools of the first cycle of children (0-3 years) participating in this great project.
As for the benefits all, since on the one hand the educational team serves us to enrich us in experiences, projects and knowledge that are shared between professionals belonging to different environments with some characteristics and their own. All this adds up and enriches us as professionals in education. As for the possibilities or benefits for our children, we start from those that are a result of the above, as it will have repercussions in them. They can also participate, especially the elderly, in activities with other children, comparing their work, carrying out joint activities ...
Given the real possibilities of our children in these early ages, we should not put barriers but know how to overcome them through the necessary adaptations.

However, in my school, to think in a realistic way, technology must be mixed with non digital media. Classrooms are equiped mostly with one computer, conexion often fails so teachers must be creative. For instance in a quizz game do make a summary of the contents, we used a ppt to show the questions and answers, but just in case we made paper cards to be read aloud. It was very funny and maybe students appreciated the fact that the activity wasn't enterily virtual.

Opportunities for networked and international collaborations are bringing both the world to classrooms and classrooms to the world. With a focus on international standards of instruction, globally-minded programs inspire students to be curious through investigation and reflective in analysis of thought. These pathways lead to the development of cultural literacy by allowing students to examine issues of global significance through interconnected sharing of experience and exchange of ideas. Collaborative learning spaces empower students to work with each other and with students in classrooms of the world to assume multiple perspectives, explore alternative solutions, and thoughtfully solve problems.

I teach in the Primary school ..This year, we han't got a multimedia classroom .Only one dayof the week, 8 children bring their P.C..In the week, I try to use the only computer we have, to deepen and consolidate the topics addressed .The programs are: Paint, Word, maps, word-cloud, the eTwinning platform (this is fabulous) and sites with readings for children .The pupils are very interested.I am participating in on-line course on digital libraries.I haven't finished this, it seems to me a little difficult to put into practice in daily life.I will try

We agreed with Bart. Regarding furniture, ours is old and whenever we change the layout of the tables and chairs at the beginning of the lesson in the end you have to put them as they were, as we already mentioned in this MOC, which leads to some loss of time. With regard to the use of technology for collaborative work we are beginning to use the Moodle platform where we create specific disciplines for each class. Here we include tutorials of some applications that the students can use, proposals of activities, for example, using the Powtoon and we have created a Padlet where students can share their work / ideas / conclusions. What we can verify is that we get the attention of the students they feel motivated. The use of these tools makes the shy students more confident and allows them to develop the ability to communicate.

I mostly use a Facebook group with my students and it works perfectly well. Sometimes the lessons seem to take place at 9 in the evening with a simple picture shared or a message. Everybody is there in a moment, reacting, commenting, using English in real life situations, which is not always the case in the classroom :)

I absolutely share the idea that new apps and ICT is vital for a 21st century school. I also think that teachers way of teaching is old-fashioned and we need to constantly update our daily classes methodology to make them more motivating for our students. That's why a course like Future Classroom Scenario must be welcomed at any time of a teacher career. I first started with new tools and innovative technology with Etwinning new technology using Facebook, Youtube, Padlet , Wetransfer, Gmail. The students started to be more interactive and happy about school and learning English! However I also feel it is not always enough so ....Thank you for having designed this course!
