Make sure you are a Citizenship or a permanent resident with a valid Green Card.

Find a recruiter and take the ASVAB test!

Find a recruiter because the recruiter will be the one who will make sure everything goes right, after finding the recruiter, the recruiter will make you take the AVSAB test because you need it to get into the military.

Boot camp!

When you pass the ASVAB test you will have to go to the boot camp because that where the test your skills and etc. You will be there for at least 10 weeks or so.

You are finally a soldier!

Texas National Guard is only in Texas and its controlled by the Texas Government only and not the entire united states.

You can join the Texas while you still in high school in your senior year, but you need to do some stuff. take the ASVAB test during the summer of your junior year in hs, and go to the boot camp during summer.
