The Comparsa de los Viejos is the largest and the oldest, according to what they say centuries, every year a group of mayordomos or organizers participate in the planning of the carnival, the mayordomos are made up of volunteers from a neighborhood or neighborhood that has wanted to participate in the celebration of the carnival, these mayordomos work to be able to sustain said festivity, thus, at the arrival of the carnival their houses throughout the town are the ones that will receive the disguised ones so that they dance in front of their door, they correspond by offering free drinks from the region such as tepache and cured, the suit itself is somewhat heavy, because it has a lot of fabric, currently they are made in a single color, usually only one type of fabric is used and there are approximately 10 to 20 m of it, if it is heavy and hot, then it turns out that apart from being a fun dance it becomes an excellent exercise.

This comparsa is one of the typical ones, very traditional where the clothes of our beloved ethnic groups are extolled, beautiful costumes are used for the celebration of carnival, ranging from a blanket pant and a simple shirt to the laborious work done by indigenous artisans who make huipiles , blouses and cottons; among them are the triques, the amuzgos and the tacuates, for this reason we can see the diversity and richness of the colors and textures that exist throughout the municipality and the district, in their arms we can also observe handicrafts that they carry with them to complete the clothing that characterizes them.

This troupe, they say, made fun of the high social class of a long time ago, so they danced characteristic melodies in pairs wearing gala suits, long dresses, beautiful and big hats, elegantly dressed gentlemen, in our days the clothes are not so elegant but they have in common the use of dresses and suits and masks where they dance to the beat of the music different sounds that are interpreted by a wind band, like the 2 previous troupes they have butlers who support them with food and drink, I do a special recognition since they not only dance on carnival days, but a few months in advance they establish a rehearsal schedule to give their best on the main days, on the last day of carnival they celebrate the marriage between the bride and the male, a picturesque character who will be the husband, the ceremony involves from the proposal to the happy end of the wedding, this process can also be seen the m carnival arts around 4 pm in front of the municipal palace.
