1. Huck and Tom get sent to bed early by Silas because they are scared by the letter they got sent (by Tom and Huck). After a while, a group of farmers with guns show up the house and start shooting wildly. Tom gets shot in the leg.

2. Jim worries for Tom and says that they should visit a doctor.

CH. 41

1. Huck leaves Jim and Tom back in the raft as he looks for a doctor that can tend for Tom's wound.

2. As Huck wanders the town looking for a doctor, he is very amused by the conversation and chatting that is going on about their grand escape.
