What
UMT hostels are build with non environmental friendly. The distance between one building to another are too near and crowded. So that,less number of plants can be grew at that particular area. This effect can make non comfortability to hostel residences because the condition is hot.

Why
When the buildings are build more taller, we can minimize the space of the hostels. So we can plant more trees between the building so it can reduce the surrounding temperature.

What
This places are approximately 95% are bushes area. Only small number of tree we can found at that place. So this places are easily burning due to hot wheather nowadays and people behaviours such as throwing the cigarette buds. This place near also neae to public area. Thus it can be dangerous to the people around there.

Why
When we plant tree that xan give benefit such as pine trees ,rubber trees and palm oil trees. For example, pine trees can prevent soil erosion and strong wind.

What
Most of the buildings in umt use air conditioner. When using air conditioner it contribute heat to the surrounding making the surrounding hot. In addition, usages of air conditioner can increase electricity bill usages. Air conditioner also realease harmful gases such asa CFC  that can make the ozone layer became thin.

Why
We use to reduce the number of air conditioner in umt academic buildings by planting the plants that can absorb carbon dioxide maximizely such as trembesi plant and cassia plant. The high buildings that have a rooftop such PPSMS building can make a rooftoop garden which can make the building more cool.
