         <description><![CDATA[<div>It was created by the Goldie Hawn Foundation (not-for-profit organization) to aid children's understanding and training in tools to manage stress, emotions and have resiliency &amp; compassion. It was initially created due to a global epidemic in social emotional learning skill deficits. <br><br>MindUp focuses on neuroscience, social-emotional learning, positive psychology and mindful awareness. <br><br>The founder Goldie Hawn said that " My heart went to our youth, who were already showing signs of silent distress with symptoms of anxiety, depression, aggression and even child suicide. ... Combining the brilliance of neuroscientists, teachers, positive psychologists and experts in mindfulness, my dream for kids came true, with the creation of our program MindUP."
