Hey,
Thanks for the poem u send me! I really loved reading it but I had some questions about 2 lines in the poem.
Love's not Time's fool, though rosy lips and cheeks

Within his bending sickle's compass come; and If this be error and upon me prov'd,

I never writ, nor no man ever lov'd. What do you mean by those lines? Or what did the writer meant? I would really like it if you could explain what that means because I think I can understand the poem better if I knew. But overall I really loved it and I love the way he writes. Thanks again:)

Greetings from Joska

The Charge Of The Light Brigade, Assignment 2

My review:

So I've read the poem about the War. I was asked to write a review about it so here it is. I don't like the poem because I really don't like this type of writing. I want to say something about a few quotes from the poem:

1. Half a league, half a league, Half a league onward,

2. Theirs not to reason why, Theirs but to do and die.
3. Into the jaws of Death, Into the mouth of hell

4. Plunged in the battery-smoke, Right through the line they broke;
5. Honour the charge they made! Honour the Light Brigade,

I've chosen these quotes because I thought it fitted the most by the poem. It is in order with the poem. All the quotes refer to a happening in the war and refer to imagery and morality. When they talk about hell they talk about the enemy. I think it is an interesting poem but also difficult if you aren't really good in the language English.

I've chosen these pictures and texts because I thought it fitted with the poem, because in the poem he talks about people copying him, but it doesn't matter to him. He can put the coat on and off whenever he wants. It's about moving from place to place and have acceptance with the situations your in. That's why I chose the words change,difference,don't care,acceptance, the past doesn't matter. I chose the pictures because it has something to do with the words I chose. I chose the picture of the coat because the poem is called 'A coat'. The poet has a lot of respect for other people and he can handle change very good with different situations.

The last boy:

Today it's Monday, we got to school with each other. But when we were there it was boring, so we decided to go to the pool club. We were skipping classes and walked down the streets to go there. We got a drink and a cigarette and started pooling. There were some other weird pool players who came there everyday, but that didn't matter. We had fun and that's what it's about. Later on the end of the day we were all drunk and laughing with each other, when we walked down back to our homes there was one woman. I noticed her all the time, when we walked outside she stood there. I looked at her and I saw her looking at me, I thought she wanted to kiss me so I came closer but she didn't wanted that. I was ashamed because this happend before. I was at High School and saw a very pretty girl. I thought she noticed me the whole time and one time I walked towards her. I asked her to go out with me, she laughed at me. She didn't wanted that and told me she had a boyfriend. I was heartbroken, just like now. I walked away to my friends.Then we walked home and I never saw her again....
