“Science is mostly concerned with discovering and recording natural phenomena, the arts are concerned with the value of human interactions as they pertain to the senses, and religion is concerned with the source, purpose, and meaning of everything.”

I chose number three.
Media does in fact portray religion and science unlike each other but here are some arguments against that. And that is what I want to speak on.

Science and Religion should not always be pitted against each other. It's not like they are a perfect match but its also not like they are oil and water. They can mix together like when the beginning of earth happened. God could not of fully did it himself but he did make science help him make the planet through all of the stages of asteroids, magma and the cooling. Much more happens and I will elaborate on that.
(The Atlantic)

They can co-exist in many ways. Sometimes you need science, like when you need medical assistance, if you pray it is very lucky that it will happen but it sometimes does. Also another fact is that Galileo studied planets and stars and started to name and graph them. The Catholic Church later arrested him for heresy and had him on house arrest because they didn't believe it.
(The Atlantic)

Another reason is that Space has been studied since for ever and science made all of the planets with junk flying around and making a clump which then makes a planet. But, if you are a firm believer in religion you use your mind and God's help to guide you through the universe. With modern science and religion the odds of them connecting in space is high.
Harvard Gazette

Religion can also be language and language can relate to science because of the genes that you get from your parents, and also your neurological systems because you grow up speaking that language. In cultural terms, cooperation evolved first as a selection, by which close relations have the highest social importance.
“The winning strategies have nice attributes,” said Nowak. That’s where being “hopeful, generous, and forgiving” comes in.
Harvard Gazette

Religion is universal, so is science. The critics and the press are what keep religion and science apart. It isn't a perfect match but they do sometimes go well together. Some historians say that the book of Genesis is almost just like the events that happened on earth when it was 6,000 years old.
“Religion, like language, is a human universal,” said Nowak
Harvard Gazette

In the end, the gate is open. People have their claims, people have their thoughts, no one will ever fully agree. Religion and Science always had some sort of comparison and that is what I talked about.
