3. Student interaction with curriculum: 
  • Valuable to ask students how much of the work they actually understand.
  • Make work appropriately challenging
  • Ask how they got their answer
  • Student must have skill and knowledge to complete lesson

  • It is important to explain rules to the students and especially important to take lots of time at the beginning of the year so that the students have a clear expectation of what the rules for the classroom are.
  • 3-6 rules
  • Keep them brief and positive
  • Make sure everyone understands them
