They have something very special that very few people have and people should know about it. People need someone to look up to and these people with amazing talents can be that person. 
Parents should not take credit for their child's work or talent. The child is the one who has done this amazing talent. However, if the parent paid for lessons or anything of that sort, they do deserve some credit. If the parent is supportive of the child, they should be noticed as well.
