This quote really resonated with me because it is an attitude that I am trying to apply to my own life. Fey writes about both good and bad experiences, but she continues to be herself and doesn't really care with others think. I strongly recommend reading Tina Fey's memoir, Bossypants. I especially recommend you read this book since you enjoy watching Saturday Night Live. She describes many of her experiences working at Saturday Night Live including the events in her life that led up to it, which I think you would find interesting. She addresses the readers like they are her friends, and her sarcastic, funny tone keeps readers interested. I think it provides good insight on Fey's life. Fey is a very popular actress, but few know about the experiences that led up to it, and what it was like for her working as a writer on Saturday Night Live and 30 Rock.  Although 30 Rock and Saturday Night Live are two shows she is most commonly known for, her memoir surprisingly doesn't focus on just that. Although she does mention it, she also talks about experiences from her life that I believe many people can find relatable. One example is when she talks about her experiences in college at the University of Virginia. She talks about how sometimes she felt like she didn't fit in, which I think is something everyone can connect to on some level. After reading her memoir, I felt like I understood Fey more, and saw her more as a human instead of an extremely famous actress. She also provides valuable life lessons, but explains them in a light-hearted and funny context to truly connect to readers on a casual basis. For instance, she addresses current issues such as body issues. She explains her experiences at photoshoots and photoshopping and explains how this is an issue for teenage girls, but also one that most likely isn't changing very soon.
