I had never played basketball before. However, I started practicing after school and going to practice earlier so that I would get better. I stayed determined and kept striving to become better. I made B team 7th  grade as a starter and B team for 8th grade.

Once the year had started and we started playing more and more I didn't enjoy as much. It was much harder than I anticipated it being. I started to practice more and take notes from my directors more seriously. I started to become better at my instrument and stayed determined to make a top band. Because of  my practice I made honor band playing French Horn-one of the hardest instruments. 


 Just like my theme, staying determined pulled through and was beneficial. I wrote about how a garden could help the school, and my teacher fell in love with the idea. We started working and planning for the garden, and with help from a few friends all we had left to do was propose the idea to the principal. 3 months, 4 canceled meetings, and a power outage later, we had approval for the garden.
