Its significance to the whole poem is that it gives light on the fact that we are living in a pandemic for over a year now and we must push forward through this entire process. Dwelling on the past doesn’t give hope for a brighter future. This quote helps me understand the poem because every time that I read this line it has a stronger impact on me explaining that this is not just one person alone this is “us” as a people we must push through this. This our life and we are stronger together and by that we will pave a way out of the pandemic for a better life.This quote was meaningful to me because it shows me that this is not the end of our lives. There’s plenty people in this world who still has hope for a better tomorrow. The greater significance of this quote would be that people should realize that this is our life now, if they haven’t realized that as yet, and then they must realize as a people we must stand together to pave the future of our lives.It would be important to humanity on a bigger scale because this is our humanity, literally this is the reality of our life, and we have to pave a future, there’s no other way around this or out of this situation. The quote helps me understand the poem in the sense that the pandemic is considered as an opportunity to discover ourselves and how we dealt with our crisis as a unified country. This pandemic brought with it a bad vibe, but it also served as a wake-up call for us to be always aware of our surroundings and to continue to prepare ourselves for the future.

I wasn't prepared to tackle the epidemic, but it prepared me, and it strengthened me to persist and find my strengths to make the best of any situation.

How does this quote help you understand the poem? | This quote helps me understand the quote by reminding me of how strong we are as a community and how many challenges we overcome this far. One of these challenges was that we couldn’t spend time we the people we love and many moments and memories we took for granted now we can appreciate. This quote is just another example of the challenges we endured and is a motivation to keep looking forward giving us hope for a better future.
| Defend your quote. Why was this quote meaningful to you? | It was meaningful to me because before Covid-19 I wasn’t very close to the people I love. I didn’t hug as much or kiss them or appreciate the good memories enough. Hence the reason why this quote is so meaningful to me. Because now every time I see a member of my family or friend that I haven’t been able to see because of the distance and this virus. I try as much as I can to show them how much I love them and to also have moments and create memories with them.

Why would it be important to humanity or on a bigger scale? | The greater significance of this quote is the fact that just like I did, many people didn’t take advantage of the time they had with those they love. Although I’ve been fortunate that no one close enough to me died. Many people in the world had witnessed people they love dying, regretting they didn’t spend enough time with them or they weren’t there for them. People who understand this try their best to take care of themselves and others by taking every precaution they can. While others don’t have any regard towards anyone but themselves and don’t take any necessary precautions. Is important to humanity that those people see the danger of their ways because more are going to die, more people are going to suffer and this virus will continue to unnecessarily spread and kill more of the people we love.
