Song
Under giant pines
I hear
a forest chorus
crisp and clear.

Winds whip.
Geese call.
Squirrels chase.
Leaves fall.
Trees creak.
Birds flap.
Deer run.
Twigs snap.

Silence in Forest
never lasts long.
Melody
is everywhere
mixing in 
with piney air.

Forest has a song.

Voices whisper.
Projector hums. 

Silence in Classroom
rarely lingers.
Human rhapsody
fills the ears
with uncalmed melody  
where there was once 
recycled air. 

Collaboration stimulates.

tap goes my fingers
slam goes the door 
every voice finds a hushed tone

 
My classroom has a song
That plays always within me
I hear you all
Everyday
Sometimes you
Tell me words
I’ll help you use
Them more
Together
You all make
Beautiful sweet music
To my teacher heart
And teacher ears
A growl
A yelp
A sigh 
A hum
You are all perfect
To me

Rattles in a bag
I can't hear
clear
