My own take is that motivational strategies can only go so far; sooner or later, they will transit from the “stick & carrot’ mode to doing something that is part and parcel of life. we think about reframing our thinking about finding gratification in every situation, but we must also be mindful that sometimes, life is mundane and we have to do what we have to do, whether we like it or not.
