In the story, the speaker talks about how God nourishes the branches that bare fruit and cuts off the ones that do not. In a sense, we must nourish each other’s strengths and help keep the toxic “branches” away. This means that staying close to Jesus and following His plan for us, we will build a better relationship with Him. If we walk with God in our troubles and hardships, we will see the effects Christ has on our lives. We need to abide by Christ by listening to His Word each and every day. From the story The Vine and the Branches, Jesus is the Vine while we are the Branches. So, just like the Branch is connected to the Vine, we abide by Christ and follow His way or where the Vine is going. And if we do not abide by Christ and depend on Him or the Vine, He cannot depend on us. Without the vine, the Branches or the Fruit is powerless. Through this we can support others through our shared values in Christ. As the story of the vine and the branches states, “No branch can bear fruit by itself, it must remain in the vine.
