He takes the sword to Kay, then Kay tries to claim he is the promised king. Kay's dad is skeptical and makes Kay put the sword back in the stone. Once Britain was made clean though Lancelot began to spend a lot of time at Camelot, one day while all the knights were there Mordred begins to talk to a weak knight named Agravain. Then Mordred starts a rumor that Lancelot and the queen are trying to overthrow the king. Seven years go by and many knights died while others just gave up on the search. Sir Lancelot and Sir Gawain learned to Grail's location and set out for the journey, when they got to the castle and came to the room where the Grail was, Sir Lancelot heard a voice say that he was not worthy. Sir Gawain thought he saw the Grail but when he moved toward it the doors shut and could not be opened. He and his mother felt this was the time to take down Arthur. Queen Guinevere was in the garden and saw Lancelot and that he was sadden. When she went to speak to him they both told about their feelings for each other. Then Mordred and some other knights jumped out from behind a bush and began to call them traitors, Lancelot being a thug though killed Sir Agravain and wounded two others then escaped. Sir Gawain ran to Arthur and demanded that they hunt for him and Arthur agreed. The knights of the road table were split some going with Lancelot and some fighting with Arthur. They went to France and had a war, when Lancelot and Arthur met on the battle field Lancelot bowed and said he could fight his king. The next day before Arthur set off to make the truce he warned his men that he didn't trust Mordred, he said that if a sword was drawn to charge into battle. Mordred agreed to the truce but a snake come close and one of the men drew a sword causing Arthur's men to charge in ruining the peace. By evening only Arthur, Mordred and a friendly knight Sir Bedivere. Arthur demanded a spear to kill Mordred but when he ran through Mordred Arthur was struck in the head. Sir Bedivere took Arthur to the lake, and by Arthur's command through Excalibur into the lake where is was caught by the lady of the lake then Arthur was sent off into the lake to go to Avalon.
