- It is a collecting current of trash that is twice the size of Texas

 located a few hundred kilometers north of Hawaii. This convergence zone is where warm water

from the South Pacific meets up with cooler water from the Artic. That moves debris from one patch to another. 

- The entire Great Pacific Garbage Patch is bounded by the North Pacific Subtropical Gyre. An ocean gyre is a system of circular ocean currents formed by the Earth’s wind patterns and the forces created by the rotation of the planet.

- The currents move in a clockwise form.

For example, those animals that eat plankton and algae, such as turtles and fish, will have less food

and if that population dies down the sharks or other predators will starve out and less available making

 it more expensive on humans.

- 2. The fact that plastics both leach out and absorb harmful chemicals. It causes to be a bad pollutant.

- 3. The albatrosses mistake plastic pellets for fish eggs and feed them to chicks,

which die of starvation or ruptured organs.

- No one has heard about it because no one is doing anything about it.

- People can put it in the news or make volunteer groups. 

Make a committee to give ideas with helping make the problem smaller not bigger.

Extraction- To extract the trash we have in it now.

Prevention- To stop the mess from getting any bigger or worse.

Interception- A waterway to collect plastic from getting into the ocean as it is in the river.
