our piece of movement got a video to help us, our intent is abuse and the struggles to deal with it

On my piece i will be reading and adding a reenction to the piece we are showing struggle i found online that a story has wrote about abuse many people struggle with it ans our piece is to show the struggles with it

talking about mental health and the struggles that accrue we will show this by a slow motion actions and maybe the chours work we did in the antigone work shop, ebs will have a paragraph that she has made/ stole ideas from others work and we can make a scene w that.

in this scene we r going to show a sense of childhood trauma, and do a similar contact work as madds piece of drama and i will find a paragraph talk as madds and ebs does something in the background and add me in every now and then to show i am reliving the past and upset of my life

we can do a slow motion phrase of movement to show how slow time moves when you struggling and how it feels like a drag

we can do some sort of movement using the table like something underneath and use canon to create the sense of then one bad thing happens it has a domino effect

our setting in the begging is some sort of meeting/ session of people together who can realate and them opening up and having the memories/ flash backs if there dark periods of life, my idea of the ending is the finish at the table all look at each other in a sense of shock and heart ache, this will be a powerful way to end it as it's feels like the air has been sucked out the room and the audience will be in shock and confusion as to what just happend

we need to make sure our movements/ transitions link back to our main stimuli so if there was no talking for example the audience would know what is happening

Best piece I’ve seen yet! Hold emotion, movement, concept, different stages, changes, physical, touch.
Will help by giving ideas on how to move around the space and stealing some bits for parts of our drama piece.

My parents severely neglected me, emotionally abused me and physically hurt me from around 18 months old. This included being hit with items like shoes and dragged down the stairs by my hair. My dad broke my arm twice.

My first long term intimate partner was very abusive, he raped me, hit me, tried to kill me. He strangled me with a wire and then threw me against a wall when I was pregnant with his child. After she was born it continued and he started on her too.

Eventually, when she was 10 months old I tried to run but he clocked on to my plan and stopped it. One day when he went out I locked the door from the inside so he couldn't get back in with his keys. He physically kicked the door down, beat me and knocked our baby unconscious. I called the police and they didn't come out until the next day - by which time he had fled. When they came, they sent a single officer who took brief notes and advised me to seek a custody arrangement.
