Students then used their understanding of these techniques to create their own original piece of propaganda.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>During Quarter 3, 8th graders&nbsp;<br>have successfully demonstrated their learning by giving a presentation regarding the System of Linear Equations. In this Vacation Project, students imagined where they want to travel if the COVID-19 situation gets better. 8th-grade students looked up the price of the 3-star and 5-star hotels and a flight to the international city they would like to go to. Then, they displayed what the solution indicates on the system of linear equations, which they have created based on their research, both graphically and algebraically. It was a short happy imagination thinking about where to travel and also a truly enjoyable time to see students' amazing products!&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>After finishing up their unit on reading and analyzing literature (quarter 2) students started a unit on reading and breaking down informational text (quarter 3). The skills that they have gained/honed through this unit is now being applied to the research portion of their argument essays (quarter 3-4). Although this isn't the first time students have written an academic paper, this year they are more focused on crafting a logical argument and presenting relevant and sophisticated counter arguments and rebuttals, which can prove to be very challenging. Once this unit comes to a close, the students will move into what could be their favourite unit: Romeo and Juliet.</div>]]></description>
