Article II describes the powers and responsibilities of the President.

Article III describes the judiciary, and what kinds of cases the courts can hear.

Article IV describes the relationships between states and the federal government, and states and other states.

Article V describes how changes can be made to the Constitution.

Article VI is a sort of grab bag that says "The U.S. is a real, serious government, and it is in charge everywhere."

Article VII has the rules for the Constitution becoming effective, and the signatures of the Framers.

Amendments 11, 12, 16, 20, 22, 25, and 27 all clarify procedural rules in the operation of the three branches of government.

Amendments 13, 14, and 15 are called the Reconstruction amendments. They were all passed after the Civil War to guarantee equal rights regardless of race and to help the former slaves.

Amendments 17, 19, 23, 24, and 26 all expand the right to vote to new groups of people or expand the right to be involved in certain elections without state interference.

Amendments 18 and 21 represent America's failed experiment with prohibition, where all alcohol was banned, and then re-allowed.
