Out of 6 victims, only one person was killed.  It was reported that the shooter seemed to have no motive behind his attack, but passengers heard the gunman muttering incoherently to himself before he opened fire. The major people interviewed in the article were 29 year-old Mark Grabban, who was a passenger on the Greyhound bus, he was also the one who provided more details about the incident, and California Highway Patrol Sgt. Brian Pennings who arrived at the scene of the incident and held a mini press conference where he explained to the media what happened, and reported other important details.  Stefanie Dazio is a criminal justice reporter who has written articles for TIME Magazine, but works at The Associated Press in L.A. On a scale from 1 to 5, I rate this piece a 5 because it is written in a non complicated manner where the reader can understand the situation and read all the updated information about the incident. She had always been this girl who was afraid since she lost her best friend just when she was a little girl, and years later lost her other best friend, Khalil, to police brutality. This caused for Starr to become a girl who wanted justice and would become an even more "person" who talks about the struggles of being black in America. Angie Thomas, who wrote this book, is an American author of young adult novels. She is 31 years old and has received four awards for this book. On a scale of 1 through 5, I would give this book a 5 because I feel like it is a great resource for people who may not understand the struggles minorities go through and it shows a very good example of that with what Starr experienced with losing 2 of her best friends. I also liked how emotionally packed the book was with Starr's personal thoughts and I felt like I was Starr sometimes when reading the book.

The community expresses anger and disgust towards Atticus (main characters' dad and local lawyer) when he defends a black man against sexual assault allegations. The major characters are Jem, the eldest son of Atticus Finch/older brother of Scout, the young daughter of Atticus/ younger sister of Jem. Jem is known as a typical 'brave' boy who looks up to his father, and eventually becomes protective of Scout.  Scout Finch is known as a smart tomboy who doesn't want to be like other girls and tries to see the good in everyone. Atticus Finch is the father of Scout and Jem. He is known as a smart, sophisticated man and local lawyer. He seemed to be respected by the people in his town until he decided to defend a black man. What is known from the director is that he's directed many American dramas, won multiple awards such as a Golden Globe for Best Film Promoting International Understanding. The intended audience of this film is young adults because of the theme of the story- which younger people can relate to or have seen. On a scale of 1-5, I give this film a 4.  It was a well told story about racism in the 60's, and people exploring how good or bad a person can be.  The reason I give this film a 4 is because the ending seemed too rushed. A character that had been teased throughout the whole film was introduced at the end and was seen as a hero but was never given time to show his character development like the rest of the characters. The intended audience was the American public, since the murders that Bundy committed took place in the U.S. The major "characters" are Ted Bundy, the serial killer who was seen as a charming, attractive man who didn't fit the stereotype of a criminal. Another major person of the cast is Stephen G. Michaud, an American author who is seen as the man that tried to manipulate Bundy into confessing so he can report on it. What we know about director Joe Berlinger is that he is also a producer, and mainly focuses on true crime documentaries. He received an Independent Spirit Award for Best Documentary Feature. On a scale of 1-5, I give this documentary a 5 because the writers and film crew made sure to tell the truth of Bundy.  He was painted as the young, charming manipulator who used his status to his advantage to lure young women just to murder and sexually assault them. I also liked the fact that former FBI investigators were interviewed, as well as a woman who was a victim of Bundy who happened to escape. I appreciate the the fact that the writers tried to include multiple points of view in their documentary. An interesting quote that got my attention was "...he had a pen," Hagmaier continued, "and he said, 'I can stick this so far up my artery it'll squirt in your face. And I'll be drained before anybody even gets here.' And, I said, 'Is that what you want to do?' And he says, 'I'm not gonna let them kill me.' " What this quote shows is how much of a narcissist Bundy was. He knew that he killed all those women  and that their deaths were going to be brought to justice by giving Bundy the death sentence.  Bundy believed that no one else had the right to kill him, even though he was a criminal, except for himself. On an article named "Stonewall Riots" published on May 31, 2017, the author talks about what took place during the 6 days of riots, and what led to it. The main idea of this historical event was to protest discrimination laws against the LGBT+ community. These riots helped the community fight back against oppression, and it would help lead to LGBT activism and gay rights organizations. A year after the riots, the U.S had its first pride parade, and afterwards June became Pride month every year. In the article, it is stated that " LGBT individuals flocked to gay bars and clubs, places of refuge where they could express themselves openly and socialize without worry.".The significance of this line is to paint of picture of what the LGBT+ community went through back then. The community had no where else where they could be themselves (legally) and sought a bar where others from the community could hang out and finally have a safe space-until the police riots started which led to the Stonewall riots.
