Back in the day women were considered weak and frail. Today in most places it is the complete opposite. There are many strong women doing things that back in the day, seemed impossible. One example would be Hillary Clinton who became the first female presidential candidate.

The way manhood is discussed these days is different than it was in Elizabethan England.  Now manhood is not necessarily measured by fighting. Manhood can be measured by things like responsibility, actions and words.

This quote can now be seen as things are not what they necessarily seem to be, they can be much different. One example could be Lance Armstrong. He was seen as a champion, a true hero for many years. Once he was caught for doping, everything changed and reality set face.
