He found the way the Government controls so much unfair. His solution was for less Government influence. I think that if we did that now some things would be better off but others wouldn't. It would change things but I don't if for the better.

He's saying that many people talk about how bad slavery is, but they don't do anything about it. We shouldn't talk about how awful it is, we should do something to change it. There would be, and are peaceful protests that the goal of is to change laws. Sometimes doing this is very effective in changing things.

He was born October 2nd 1869 in Porbandar India.
On March 12, 1930 Gandhi started the march to gthe sea to protest the British monopoly of salt.
This was civil disobedience because he took part in a protest to oppose the unjust rule of the salt monopoly because it was a big part in Indian diet.
Gandhi and Thoreau were similar because they both tried to tell the people that civil disobedience wasnt bad if you were doing it for a good cause.

MLK was similar to both Thoreau and Gandhi in that they all three preached civil disobedience through nonviolent means such as peaceful protests. While Thoreau only wrote about protesting, MLK participated in many of them. While Gandhi protested against unjust laws from the British Government, MLK protested for laws that allowed African Americans to be equal in America.
