India is rich in historical places. One such example is Lodhi Garden, a historic green oasis. This beautiful garden is famous for its interesting history about tombs of the Lodhi dynasty rulers. The architectural marvels showcase the Indo-Islamic architecture.
Lodhi Garden is a serene and picturesque place with lush green lawns, colorful flower beds, and majestic old trees.

For me, the most relevant aspect of competency standard 12.3 was the commitment to person-centered and family-focused care when working with people from migrant and refugee backgrounds. I have improved my understanding of the importance of respecting cultural influences on healthcare decisions. I have also learned to prioritize effective communication and dignity in cross-cultural interactions. I now can see the capability of taking the responsibility to reflect on my ability to provide flexible and culturally sensitive care. This skill is essential at work because it ensures that I serve every patient with respect by providing them quality and safe care.

Migrant and Refugee Women’s Health Partnership.

Iraq is a country in the Middle east. Iraq has experienced significant and turbulent changes throughout its history. Out of the top three countries from which humanitarian entrants came to Australia in 2021, Iraq is one of them (Permanent Migration from Iraq, n.d.). Three common health concerns listed in the Australian refugee health practice guide which are likely to be found in people arriving from Iraq are immunization, mental health issues and HIV.

Immunization: It is a way to protect against infectious diseases by stimulating the body's immune response.
To ensure the immunization needs of refugees are met, it is important to adhere to a thorough and inclusive immunization schedule.
For instance, a catch-up immunization plan can be developed, in which the written record of vaccines can be kept as evidence.

Mental Health issues: Due to conflict, violence, and relocation, a large number of Iraqi refugees may have gone through traumatic experiences. Common mental health issues include anxiety, depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
Treatment may involve introducing the concept of talking with others, for example friends, religious figures, or a counsellor.

Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV): It is a viral infection that can be transmitted through certain bodily fluids and weakens the immune system. Refugees may face an increased risk of HIV due to limited access to healthcare services during displacement.
Treatment for HIV may involve regular medical check-ups and support from healthcare professionals to manage the virus and overall health.

Permanent migration from Iraq.
