• Start small with few expectations. Do you have lesson notes that you could
upload and share with students? Add some related explanation videos.
• Link a video from a class topic to your online lesson notes. Students can choose
to engage with this extra material or not. Highly effective for those on the
spectrum of ‘class is too hard’ or ‘too easy’ as they can study at their own pace.
• Each student has a mobile device which we can utilize. Many educational apps
available. Train students to respect ‘phone time’ vs ‘no phone time’
• Every minute you put into digitizing lessons, assessments and activities in an
investment for your teaching future. You’ll be required to put in the effort at the
front end but will continue to reap the rewards.
