I owned my own salon in Lewiston, NY from 2007-2016. As a single mom I needed more stability in my paycheck and future, and it would be great for someone else to pay into my health insurance and retirement. I decided to go back to school for my bachelors in business. After seeing how difficult it was to get a job without my bachelors degree I decided after graduating from NU in May that I would continue on for my MBA in Strategic Management. I still work as a hairstylist at TWODAYS Salon (5 minutes from campus on Military RD) and my daughter wants to open a bakery one day so we bake on the side.
