Ida Tarbell was 14 when she witnessed the Cleveland Massacre, where many smaller oil producers, including her father, were forced to decide between selling their businesses or competing with The Standard Oil Company, ran by John D Rockefeller.

What was Ida Tarbell’s purpose of writing this serial?

The purpose of Tarbell's writing was to expose the inter-working of Rockefeller's company. Doing so would reveal the unethical and exploitative ways that Rockefeller achieved his power and control. The end goal of her writing was to take down the company and stop Rockefeller from doing unmoral business practice like what happened to her father.

Tarbell's, "The History of Standard Oil", exposed John D Rockefeller and his unethical methods for procuring wealth with the Standard Oil Company. This lead to the public perspective changing from a great philanthropist to a deceiving robber Baron. This also resulted in the US Supreme Court reviewing their actions, and came with the verdict that they violated the Sherman Antitrust Act, which lead to the the breakup of the Standard Oil Company.

Who do you think is the artist?

The artist is Dr. Seuss because his name is the description. The advisement also has the same art style a Dr. Seuss and the characters within the advisement are similar to those in the world of Dr. Seuss. This also means that Dr. Seuess supports the company, since he's willing to do this collaboration.

Does it look like the break-up of Standard Oil hurt the company?

No, it doesn't seem like the break-up hurt the company. This is because the company could still afford advisement. They also have a collaboration with Dr. Seuess which means that the company had to pay Dr. Seuess that that collaboration to happen and for the art.
