For example, the left side of the page spells clock, while the right side discusses kids waiting for five minutes until they are free from class. While being in the shape of a clock it adds so much dimension and a different point of view. All of these poems are all described in different ways and are interesting to read because they aren't set up how you would read a normal book.

But the polar bears are to be deceived by the brown bears but they have evolved to adapt to the wintery tundra. The biggest threat to Polar bears is the melting sea ice which would affect how much they would eat and they would be weak and have fewer cubs. It would also make the polar bears travel outside of the Arctic and find somewhere else to live. Ultimately the polar bears going extinct could affect all sorts of wildlife in the Arctic.

Number the Stars

By: Lois Lowry

Newberry Award Winner 1989

This book is told by a ten-year-old girl named Annemarie who deals with life during World War II. This is when the Nazis were on the lookout to send Jewish people to concentration camps. In this book Annemarie has a good friend Ellen who is Jewish and her family takes Ellen in to disguise her as one of their daughters. Annemarie encounters some lies and almost gets taken by the soldiers in order to keep her best friend safe. Her parents explain to Annemarie all about what is going on about why Jewish stores are being closed and people are being taken away from their homes and families. Then the family goes to Mrs. Johansen's brother's house Henrik's where he keeps them hidden. He then tells Annemarie about how the package she had with the handkerchief is so important because he hid passengers on the bottom of his boat. It was essential because it kept the Germans' dogs from smelling the human cargo. Uncle Henrik praises Annemarie for her bravery and reassures her that Ellen is safe on the boat that he sent her on and that they will meet again someday. The war ends and she awaits Ellen's arrival and tells herself that she will wear Ellen's Star of David until she returns.
