I chose this topic because during the practicum I felt that I did not have enough confidence and enough belief to teach pupils freely and also I thought through every sentence and every instruction before I started to speak. I also felt that my pupils were always looking at me and analyzing me. This made me worried.

For these reasons, I chose this topic for my EAR project.

As preservice teachers do not have an actual classroom, I did microteaching at my institute. I also administered a survey with my coursemates during my micro-teaching. During this lesson, I couldn't feel more confident and free because I planned to teach 10 students, but on that day, there were 22 students in the lesson. That's why this number of students was a problem for me because I didn't have enough handouts for all of them. I felt nervous, and the students also didn't feel much responsibility to complete the task.

However, my second task for them was suitable for more students as well. It was a role play. There were 2 role-play situations, so I divided students into 2 groups, but at that time, I found controlling this number of students difficult.

Anyway, all the students liked my micro-teaching, and at the end of the lesson, they gave me feedback and useful advice.

The previous practicum was difficult for me. I couldn't talk or explain topics to pupils well, and before saying something, I thought about it for a longer time. And when it came to giving instructions, it took more time. Because of this, my instructions were not clear or understandable to students. Due to this, some pupils didn't participate actively in my lesson activities.

But this time, after learning about EAR and knowing more about how to teach confidently, the lesson started to seem easier than in previous times because I learned the ways of giving instructions and ways of showing confidence in the classroom. My lessons became better and more interactive. My students listened to me more attentively and actively participated in the classroom. I believe this research will help me forever to become the best in my job.
I hope I will not have a problem related to teaching in the future, but even if I have, I can directly do this kind of research.

Actually, before knowing about this EAR, I was worried and afraid that I would not be a good teacher because of my lower confidence level. But when our teacher explained EAR and when she said, "If we do it, at the end we can solve our problem", I felt hopeful about becoming a good, confident teacher.

For me, learning EAR was very helpful because in the exploratory stage I learned about why I feel myself as a LESS CONFIDENT TEACHER. At that stage, I understood that it's mostly related to my language level.

This research helped me from every side, mostly the action stage was the most important part for me because in this stage I finally solved my problem. I have understood that it's not mostly related to my language level, as I said at the end of the explanatory stage.
