" None of us can change our yesterday, but all of us can change our tomorrows. " - Collin Powel

We do not have the time machine to go back and rectify our mistakes but we do have the time in the present and future to make the world a better place. Without the Earth we have no where to live, and its our responsibility to pick up something that we can do better tomorrow than we did yesterday.

We being the new generation, its very important for us to know our roles in preserving Mother nature. Just by making a few small changes, you can make a big contribution and save our environment. We could plant more trees to create more oxygen to keep the bad air away from the atmosphere, or we could just stop cutting down the rainforest. We are living and we need the space but we aren't the only species on this earth. Saving the rainforest is not only good for us and the atmosphere but also good for the many different species that it homes. We could try to get as many people as possible to switch to hybrids and other energy saving things to use less fossil fuel for energy and relying more on solar and wind energy. Fossil fuels are destroying our earth and we need to limit the use of it. Recycling is a great and easy way to help our precious planet. Everyone can help, all they have to do is follow three simple rules; Reduce, Reuse, Recycle!

We would like conclude saying " Love the Earth, its the only one we've got.

"I don't want to protect the enviroment, i want to make this world where the environment doesn't need protection."- anonymous

Climate change is the first and foremost an issue because people cant agree on whether or not its an issue in the first place. Before we even get into the solutions, we need to come to the realization that climate change makes a lot of negative effect and is effecting us in many ways.
Protecting the environment is one of today’s most serious issues. It is not a secret that our planet is in danger! Almost every day we hear about a new problem affecting the environment. This list seems to be endless! The main issues are pollution, acid rain, greenhouse effect, climate change, rainforest destruction, and the extinction of thousands of animal and plant species. We are all aware of these concerns and can admit that we caused them. Most people really care about the future of our planet and realize it is time to improve the situation; otherwise, the environmental issues will become worse, with each of us suffering the negative consequences.

As students we have to learn to be environmentally friendly in using natural resources like water, air, forests, agriculture, and wildlife without damaging them. It is very important to preserve the natural resources we have today so that future generations can also use them.

"The sun, the moon, and the stars would have disappeared long ago.. had they happened to be within the reach of predatory human hands." ~Havelock Ellis, 1923

Earth is home to millions of species. Just one dominates it. "Us". Our cleverness and our activities have modified almost every part of our planet. From the beginning, many scientists have had concerns that the release of these new organisms with their DNA could have dire consequences.

Earth's current scenario is in a damaged state and is under threat from dangers like greenhouse gases, droughts and floods, hunger and famine and devastating diseases.

A few of the causes for this current situation of earth is as follows:-
Climate change- It is first and foremost an issue. Now a days the weather's been hotter than usual. On top of all that, higher temperatures are causing the polar icecaps to melt and flooding certain areas.
Deforestation- It is a rapidly-growing problem in areas like Africa, Central and South America. It means less trees, less cleansing oxygen, and the displacement of the wildlife, deforestation also means a dangerous decrease in a natural fighter of global warming. Removing trees also leads to much drier climates, as trees extract groundwater to release into the air.
Pollution- It comes in many forms and no matter where you live. The main reason for why pollution has gotten so out of control is that our desire for more things has led to our old things being thrown away at an alarming and unnecessary rate. This need for manufactured items also leads to the air and water pollution emitted from factories.

Our planet is in a severe environmental crisis. Current environmental problems make us vulnerable tragedies, now and in the future. We are in a state of emergency, with environmental problems around us. Unless we address the various issues seriously we are surely doomed for disaster. Current environmental problems require urgent attention.

We would like to end with a quote that says, " What we are doing to the forests of the world is but a mirror reflection of what we are doing to ourselves and to one another."
– Chris Maser

Chris Maser once said “What we are doing to the forests of the world is but a mirror reflection of what we are doing to ourselves and to one another.”
As we destroy our precious forests knowingly or unknowingly, we are also slowly killing ourselves and our future. This crisis is ignored by most people, but it is very important to be aware of everything we do to our earth and how we ourselves affect it.

Pollution is one of the prevailing problems that we directly or indirectly do and destroy our environment. Deforestation is a rapidly-growing problem. One of my previous classmates said, “We write 'Stop deforestation' on the same paper which is made by cutting down trees. How does this show that we are helping our environment?” Climate change is also a rapidly charging bull to our environment. We wonder ‘why does it rain so less nowadays in India?’ Nobody has yet realized that we can find what is causing all these problems if we just look in a mirror.

From a student’s point of view, trying to raise awareness by putting up posters and flyers do not work. Everyone is obsessed with technology these days that they will not stop to look at a poster put up by a bunch of students. Implementing our suggestions is the only ways to create awareness. We need to start doing what we say we will do instead of just saying it. “A nation that destroys its soil, destroys itself.”

|| If you really think the environment is less important than the economy, try holding your breath while you count your money ll
Imagine if trees gave off wifi signals, we would be planting so many trees..and we would probably save the planets too. Too bad they only produce oxygen we breathe. Environment is in danger and so are life and its quality. Many species of animals and plants are already extinct and many more on the brink of it. The phenomenon such as ‘green house effect’ is one of the greatest dangers to our environment. Did you know???More than 1 billion people don’t have access to safe drinking water. 80% of urban waste in India is dumped in the river Ganges. By 2030 the number of cars will rise to 1 billion. This means pollution level will be more than double.

Urgent steps need to be taken to stop this deterioration in our atmosphere and environment. The balance of nature should be restored at the earliest. Some hard and effective decisions are the need of the hour. We can very well notice the abnormal behaviour of the seasons – the cycle developing clogs in its wheels; and the worried experts fear that the disturbed balance in the biosphere has assumed such serious proportion that very soon our world would be uninhabitable like Hiroshima of 1945. But it is heartening to find the entire world aware of the menace. Some of the advanced countries have already taken some measures to meet it. If we fail to restore the ecological balance right now, it would be too late tomorrow....
