         <description><![CDATA[<div>Alfred Biner- created the Binet- Simon scale to test IQ, Goal was to indentify students who needed help<br>Lewis Terman- created the Stanford- binet test, studied kids who excelled in their classes<br>William Stern- coined the term IQ, IQ- Intell Quotient<br>Thurstone- came up with Primary Mental Abilities tests which measured different skills, found standard deviation between the 7 skills<br>Logical Intelligence- ability to logically reason, ex. accountant<br>Linguistic- Ability to understand language well, ex. Shakespeare, playwrights<br>Bodily- understanding one's body and movement well, ex. athlete<br>Visual, Spatial- Ability to comprehend 3D images and shapes, ex. architect<br>Musical- tendency to comprehend music and rythems, ex. composers, conductors<br>Interpersonal- the ability to interact effectively with others, ex. extroverts, sale people<br>Naturalistic- Observing of the natural environment, ex. Charles Darwin, park ranger, zookeeper<br>Intrapersonal- ability to self reflect and know one's self<br>Test is given to "sample" group and then one can see the average and put in the bell curve<br>IQ=(Mental Age/Real Age) x 100<br>110-119 is bright normal, 120-129 is superior, 130 is very superior, 150 and above is truly gifted<br>Intellectual Disability- 1% of population, IQ below 70, Mild 50-69, Moderate 35-49. Severe 20-34, Profound under 20</div>]]></description>
