In chapter 1 we get introduced to the main characters Lisa, Stefan, Mother and Father. In chapter 1 Lisa stares out a window with her parents and they see all the planes and weapons and Stefan gets mad because Denmark never put up a fight and now everybody thinks they are going to get taken over. When Stefan, Lisa and Erik are walking to school Stefan and Lisa discuss how mad they are and Erik says how annoyed he is with the Germans invading.

Chapter 4 poem/The man he killed poem

In this poem the author is suggesting that the guy didn't have to kill him but he needed to so he could survive. The author is stating that in war if you met the guy you shot or even killed,you would not do that if there was no war, that's because you have nothing against that guy and you would probably sit down and have a drink with this guy if you weren't on the one of the two opposing sides. The author is also stating that in war we sometimes do unnecessary things like shooting or killing somebody that may not even deserve it. That was the author's message and suggestion about war.

Chapter 4-5 recap

In chapter 4 and 5 Lisa follows Stefan and Jesper to see what they are doing and where they are going. When Stefan and Jesper finally stop they go on a streetcar but Lisa is too late and Stefan sees Lisa while the streetcar strats rolling away. When Lisa does an olympic sprint to the other station she gets on to the same streetcar that Stefan and Jesper were on but when she gets on the streetcar and looks out the window, she can see Stefan and Jesper smiling and laughing as the streetcar polls away. When Lisa finally takes a minute to calm down after what they just did she sees a piece of folded paper on the ground and it says what is going on in the war for real this time.

The main idea of Chapter 2 is that the German Bombers shoot anything that is emitting light and people have to start closing there windows,curtains and tape them over. In chapter 3 Lisa goes to school like a normal day like Jesper and Stefan but when school is over Lisa follows Stefan and Jesper because she thinks they have been acting weird lately because Stefan has been coming home late and then he keeps everything he did to himself so she followed him. When Stefsn and Jesper g et on to a streetcar Lisa tries to follow Stefan and Jesper but Stefan spots her and they get on faster and then the car leaves and Lisa runs tyo the next station to keep on spying on Stefan. When Lisa finally catches up and gets on to the steetcar she realizes Stefan and Jesper got off and she gets really mad. I gave my Dad an idea about mistreating the Nazi soldiers and start to kill them with injecting them with things like poison and other substances instead of treating them instead of actually treating them, but my Dad is actually thinking about doing this for real now and now that i am thinking about it, it may not be a good idea. I want to do my part in helping the resistance but it may not be the best choice, but I feel like he needs to do his part too.

I feel like something could go really wrong now that I told him he could do that to the Nazis and now I'm worried about what they would do to him if he helped. I'm really worried for him and I wonder if it's really worth it to help the resistance, what do I do?

In chapter 7 of Lisa's War it starts with Lisa and Stefan going to an apartment to visit her Mother and Father who has the baby of the Mother who died in chapter 6. When Lisa lies down in her bed and cannot sleep she hears a big explosion that shook the building. Lisa is so anxious to see what happened and knows she is not allowed to open the black curtains but she wants to, but before she can Stefan stops her and pulls her away from the Curtains. Instead of opening up the whole window Stefan and Lisa peer out of the window they see a huge fire in the sky and she realizes it is right where Susanne lives and she starts to get worried, but reassures herself that hundreds of people live there, there is no way that fire has anything to do with Susanne. Everybody goes back to sleep except for Lisa because Lisa is sitting in her Fathers big chair then hears a light knocking on the door but Lisa doesn't want to see what is on the other side of that door, Then she hears it again finally stepping out of the chair and slowly walking towards the door. When Lisa opens the door she sees Susanne who has no hair and is charred.

In chapter 13 it starts with Lisa and Erik riding to Lisas apartment and when Lisa and Erik enter the apartment they find anne and sarah playing and the floor and everything seems to be alright. Later that day Lisa calls everybody she knows and everyone with a Jewish like name and warns them subtlely that they need to escape except Lisa said since the rabbi took a holiday they should to except she really meant escape Denmark. After Lisa calls everybody she goes to meet her father at the hospital to do "paperwork" and when she arrives her father is behind many stacks of papers and then he peers over and sees its her. In chapter 14-15 Lisa is in the psychiatric room with other kids and Lisa hears from the nurse that most houses got raided by the Nazis and then Erik starts to go crazy looking for his parents even though he knows they have been caught and then he gets sedated by the nurse. After they are done sedating Erik they go around and start to sedate the other children to keep them calm and then a couple minutes later they round evrybody up and put them in to ambulances that leave five minutes apart from eachother and then Lisas ambulance is the third to leave and then a about 30 minutes to an hour later they arrive near water where boats will come and pick them up in a matter of time. A while after they arrive they hear a guy screaming and they see a guy with a bloody knife standing over his 2 children and his wife who he killed and claimed he and his wife thought it would be better to die then to be tortured in a concentration camp. When the Situation was under control the guy in the ambulance said there is a situation with the boats and he said they will have to go across the road up the hill and stay in a summer house until the is under control. In the next chapter Stefan asks Lisa if she can shoot and Lis say yes and Stefan decided toask Lisa if she wanted to stay back and help keep watch until all the boats arrived and stays back because she thinks it is the right thing to do. After she say yes she goes to tell her parents about her decision and her dad is saying no way
but her mom reluctantly agrees with her decision. After Lisa informs Stefan about there parents decsion, Stefan reveals his contact that has the guns which ends up being Jesper.
