Explanation: In the past, going to college was not the standard so prices could be kept low. Today, it is normal for college to form part of many student’s plans after high school so the price of the tuition has increased a considerable amount.  The average cost of tuition for only a year at a four-year college ranges from high numbers to even higher numbers that many students and their families simply can’t afford.
Link: The worries that students have about these increasing prices have become a large factor throughout the process.
