This video discusses the aspects of the fraud and where fraud occurs the most. He believes that a lot of the purchases made threw the foreign websites are one of the major ways people get your credit card information. He talks about using different cards instead of the credit card and just get a debit card instead and only put the money you want to spend onto the account and pay with that account instead. Then they cannot overcharge your account. Make sure you do not have overdraft protection as well. I decided to choose this video because he is very inspirational and seems to know a lot about the debit and credit fraud scams.

This video discusses identity theft and how chip cards are an easy way for people to steal your identity and your information from your cards. How it is easy for someone to just slide the card down a different reader than the one you are planning on using. Also how their is apps on people phones all they have to do is touch your back pocket with your cards in it and it will drain your account and put it all into the fraudster account he has hooked up.
I choose this video I know its not technically credit/ debit card fraud but it helps people learn the different devices that can be used for them to steal your information.

This video discusses the struggles one person went threw when her cards were used without her knowledge, she went to the bank and tried to get it fixed which they would not do because she had complete control of the cards at all times. The cards were basically cloned and used illegally. There is many people in the same situation as this lady and I believe the banks should be able to look deeper into it and press charges on the person that duplicated her card.
I chose this video because it opens your eyes to the whole situation not just that it happens but the real life version of sorry no I can't help you from the bank

Canada has some protection when it comes to identity theft which coincides with debit and credit card fraud because someone is using your information without your permission. Provide a real life example of how this topic is relevant or interesting for you?
When I was younger I used to leave my wallet anywhere an x boyfriend wrote down all my identification numbers and racked up over 100 000 in debt before I realized then it was to late to do anything I eventually had to claim bankruptcy and move on, now I have a program that keeps track of my spending and if anything irregular pops up they notify me right away.

3. If you could pass on your knowledge to a family member or friend, what do you think is the more important thing to pass on?
I would pass on this whole wall because it is full of useful information including what you can do to protect yourself against the theft in the first place
