At first this movie shows us the inequality between white and black people. We can see during all that film that the black women are persecuted and there are some examples of progress in the film that we can define now. First we have the boss of NASA who broke the placard where was written : "colored ladies room". And he says that everyone pee the same color in NASA so he says stop being idiots. Secondly, the main character wanted to enter in a graduate school who where only white people. So she was put away, she went to the court and finaly had the hours work at night without white people.
So with those examples we can see that the film is an illustration of progress.

First of all, this film is a recap of the entire space conquest period in the U.S so it's a very catchy subject added to the fact that it is an untold story about to be revealed.
But it's also interesting to watch because it also allows at the same time to see the evolution and the progress of black people's condition. Indeed, multiple scenes show how black people, especially women, were slowly considered equal to white men: in the bathroom scene, we can see the project director breaking the segragation system by letting black and white people use the same restrooms.
So it's a film that underlines the power of human will with determined characters that are strong and independent women and, like it's a timeless image, it can inspire a lot of people through every generation.
