Isaac's Storm by Erik Larson is written about the devastating hurricane, the Great Galveston Hurricane, in 2000. Larson successfully captures the effect on a small, rich town in Texas after the head meteorologist, Isaac M. Cline, claims that it was impossible for a hurricane to hit there. The story goes through the thoughts and actions of the meteorologist before, during, and after the deadliest natural disaster in United States history.
