For my second IAT, I took the Gender-Science test. I was not as surprised with these results as I was with my first test. I am a science teacher (science category), and my boyfriend is a social studies teacher (liberal arts category). This correlates with my results. In addition, my mother has always been the educated "bread winner" of the household. I theorize that I associate science and the STEM field with higher education.

This is the first IAT that I took. I am surprised by my results, but they are understandable. In my undergraduate experience, I took a class on disability rights. This class introduced me to the idea of ableism and how the world is built for able-bodied people. Now, I find myself analyzing places based on their accessibility. In addition, I tend to be more protective over my students with disabilities.
