John Dalton made his discovery in 1803 and his model was accurate because he joined 2 wooden balls together to show that atoms form compounds. But he was also inaccurate because the wooden balls he used as atoms he thought were solid and the smallest particle of matter. It doesn't include sub-atomic, there is no electrons, no empty space, and 0 movement.

Ernest Rutherford made his discovery in 1911 and his model was accurate because he discovered that atoms have a nucleus that is positively charged that he named protons. He showed mos thte mass of an atom is in the nucleus, shows the eclectrons orbit the nucleus.

The model of an atom has changed durastically throughout many years. we learned that atoms make up different substances and are the smallest particles of matter. in the past, scientist thought that only electrons were negatively charged and then protons were discovered and they learned that they had a positive charge, and then the nucleus. they later on discover that all three of those all linked into making an atom.

In the present time, our atomic model now shows the atom having a nucleus, that electrons orbit around, the charges of subatomic particles, that most of the mass of an atom is in the nucleus. what the present model still doesn't include in the model is the amount of empty in the atom, and the speed of electrons.
