Richard Carapaz

This is the story of a good man who was born at the northern province of Ecuador named Carchi.
Richard Carapaz love the bicycles since he was a kid and he had the dream that one day he will be participating in the world's famous professional bicycle tournaments.
His childhood he work in his parents farm , dedicated to the agriculture work..milking cows, harvesting potatoes, green beans.
His first bike was his father's , he asked his Dad to  let him train in that bike. Since then he loved the ciclism and keep on training 
His first challenges he had in Colombia, later he went to Europe and participated in the Italian Giro, a traditional and international tournament .
This Giro receives the most important professional cyclists of the world and it has very hard daily races.
Richard had really hard opponents , even he had two fall downs
But in the final races he took place in the main platoon and one moment he showed his courage and put his best effort and let the other cyclists behind.
He was named "the Carchi's Locomotive"
Finally he won the Giro of Italia giving his country and his family the most highly joy ever.

LOS CHUSA LONGOS DEL ANTISANA 

El Antisana es un volcán macho ya que sus laderas permanecen pobladas por achupallas, plantas del páramo cuyas hojas alargadas y puntiagudas se estiran como ramillete de lanzas. Los volcanes hembras, sin embargo, manifiestan su feminidad por medio de las hojas de sus frailejones, que además son alargadas sin embargo más anchas, simulando los pétalos de una flor que se abre al romance.
La creencia apunta a que los volcanes comparten historias de amor, todas ellas bajo el ojo protector de sus espíritus guardianes llamados chusalongos, vocablo que viene de dos palabras quichuas: chusa, que significa pequeño, y longo, traducido como hombre joven. Los chusalongos también tienen su carácter cariñoso, porque pueden encender de pasión estos fríos nevados cuando se topan con alguna mujer extraviada que, por cierto, generalmente queda embarazada del imprevisto encuentro.
 La leyenda se convierte en buena excusa cuando una joven indígena resulta encinta fuera del matrimonio
