I studied English Philology and later on decided to immerse myself in the rewarding world of teaching; that's how I ended up doing a CELTA course and thus teaching English. Anyone who has done CELTA knows that there's little focus on testing and assessment, as it is a basic teacher training course. I have been reading on Language Assessment and Testing as part of Delta Module One preparation, and therefore learning about test reliability, validity, practicality, backwash and spin-off, as well as on different types of tests.
