If they couldnʻt come up with any ideas, then I would have a back-up list of ideas for them to choose from like write a mele or poetry, art piece, slide show, service project, essay, etc. for them to creatively show their learning but with choice. We consulted the science teacher (Mr. Fischer) because we used guppies and didnʻt know about the fish. They are more resilient than the goldfish. And then he gave us artificial sun. Because we didn't have olena, we planted seeds and he suggested a layering of soil, then cinder, and we also used a screen to hold it all in/not pollute the water.
