Haley Noles English Comp II Dr. Cox 24 January 2019 The Proposal For my interview subject, I am choosing Physician assistant P.A. Brandi Daniel, who works for Wellstar in the Gastroenterologists office in LaGrange, Georgia. The reason I have chosen P.A. Daniel is that I want to become a nurse anesthetist and be in the medical field one day. She is very passionate about her job and really knows what she is doing and loves what she does. I am hoping to meet with P.A. Daniel while she is at the office during the day and at the local Starbucks in the evening time around 5:30 after she is done with her work and has a little more free time, hopefully on the weekend of February 1st-3rd while I am back home. Also, I will try to set up a face time interview the following week since it is difficult to get it all done in one weekend with our different schedules. I will document the in-person interviews over voice recording and writing down notes and answers to my questions over our face time interview as best as I can.	For the physical content of my Profile Project I will take pictures of her in the areas of the office that she most commonly works in, hopefully, get pictures of some of the equipment she uses and some of the staff that she works with or the rooms where she works, if that is allowed. I will ask questions about the clothing she wears, take pictures of the scrubs, shoes, and really listen to the sound of her voice in the different atmospheres of the interviews and how she expresses herself and her love for what she does every day. I will get a map of the whole Wellstar department because sometimes she will go over to the hospital and work there as well. I will take videos of her everyday activities in the office, unless she is with a patient for personal reasons, and will take simple images of important, interesting things about her or what she does.

During the interview, I will ask a series of 13 questions. These questions will consist of detail and important facts I will want to know from her. The questions are 1. With you already going through college, is there one thing you would tell a struggling college student who is considering changing their major or even dropping out?
2. How long did you have to go to school to complete your degree and become a P.A.?
3. Were you able to go straight from college to being a P.A. or were there other experiences you required first? As in, working in the hospital for a certain amount of time before being able to work in an office that specialized in specific issues?
4. Is there one thing in college that made you choose your career path or have you always wanted to be a P.A.?
5. Are you passionate about what you do and the field you are in?
6. Have you always been passionate about what you do or did you have to work hard and really focus to become passionate about it?
7. Have you ever considered working anywhere else or in a different specialized office, like a solely in the hospital?
8. What is the most interesting part about being a P.A. for a gastroenterologist?
9. Does the Gastroenterologist focus primarily on stomach issues?
10. Do you see many different stomach issues? Or do you help treat a lot of similar symptoms and/or issues?
11. Is there one thing you could tell me about the job that is the most rewarding part of the job? 12. What is one thing about your job that isn’t your favorite or that you wish someone else could do instead of you?
13. With this being a college paper about careers and this career being in the same field like mine, the medical field, is there any advice you could give me, and other students like me, about going into the medical field?
