Human Rights - Human rights means- The basic rights to which all people are entitled to as human beings.

 L.I.F.E. means to me:

Living during the Age of Exploration and Colonization, the people were doing nothing but trying to survive and find a good place to live and settle with good resources.
This time period connects to Inventing with the Age of Reason and Revolution by making the people want to be smarter. They wanted to make life easier by becoming smarter and inventing things. This caused some colonies to have revolutions to become independent.

The Age of Reason and Revolution connects to the Formulating of the Gilded Age and World War I because after people started getting smarter this brought on war throughout the whole earth. This is also around the time when people started advancing more.

The Gilded Age and World War I leads to Expanding because World War One left the world in great distrust and this caused World War Two. A little bit after this the cold war happened. At this same time, many colonies fought for their
independence.

Age of Exploration and Age of Colonization

Topic: Age of Exploration Newspaper

Reflection: I think I did a good job on this group project. I learned more about why Christopher Columbus sailed to America. I am proud of this product because this is the first time I had ever done something like this on the computer. I am also proud because I helped with every section. I could have don better on explaining Columbus' journey better because I did not really put too much into the first paragraph.
Connection:I think that the main human that is demonstrated in this assignment is Human Right #13 Freedom to Move. This is because Christopher Columbus was lucky enough to have this human right. He got to sail all over the world.

Application to present day:This human right is not only been granted to people still but it has been increased. What I mean by this is that now pretty much anyone can travel anywhere and move anywhere they want.

Age of Reason and Age of Revolution

Topic: American Revolution Scratch Project

Reflection: I feel like I did good on my dialogue. The scratch was a little iffy. What I mean by this is that sometimes the timing was perfect and sometimes the timing was totally off. I got a 99% on this because I did not include how to start the presentation. I learned more about the reasons that the colonists were fighting against England. I am proud of myself because I had never done scratch before and I think I did a really good job. I could have made the scratch more in detail with the animations.
Connection: The main human right that is shown in this assignment is Human Right #21 The Right to Democracy because when I was doing this assignment I had to research the american revolution. I found out that the colonists were fighting for having their own democracy.

Application to present day: If these colonists didn't fight for The Right to Democracy then today we wouldn't live in a fair country. As a result of this then our country might not have fought against communism and the world could be all communist if we didn't have the right to democracy.

Gilded Age and World War I

Topic: Industrial Revolution Child Labor

Reflection: I feel like I did good on this assignment because I got a pretty good grade. I also think did I did a good job at organizing the facts in a appealing way. I learned more about why families sent their children to work in factories. I am proud of myself because I did Smore for the first time and I think that did really good at it. I am also proud of myself that I was able to create the two images with captions under them because they looked really cool. To make it better I could have wrote more and explained more about the child labor.
Connection: This assignment connects to the Human Right #23 Workers Rights. This is because, first, the children should not be working in these dangerous conditions and second, they are getting paid barely any money.

Application to present day: This right is still violated today. Still, many children are being forced to work in places with bad conditions. Even though this is happening, there are still many places where worker rights are granted.

World War II, New Nations, and the Cold War

Topic: The Holocaust

Reflection: I feel like I did good on this assignment because I think that I answered the questions fully. I also chose a item that I thought I would be good at an that is the Holocaust. I learned more about what Anti-Semitism was and how Adolf Hitler gained a lot of power by killing the Jewish people. I am proud of myself for finding all of the information to answer these questions. I am also proud that I finished this because I remember that I had very little time. I could have made this better by writing more on the questions.

Connection: This connects to the Human Right, The Right to life because Hitler was killing all of these people and not letting them live their lives. This human right was definitely violated.

Application to present day: Although the Holocaust is not happening anymore, their are still people that take other people's lives and violate this right.

At the beginning of the year, I believed "JUST" to mean A community when everyone is equal and everyone has a say. People get what they deserve. If they are good and nice then good things will come to them. If they are bad and commit crimes, then they will not have a happy future.

Now at the end of the year, my thinking has slightly changed. Now I believe "JUST" to mean a community where everyone has all of their Human Rights and no one violates them, and if someone does violate one of the Human rights then they are punished accordingly.
