Rationale: We must create targeted, personalized experiences for people if we want to create effective professional development.
 
 Define the learning opportunities.
What are their teaching challenges? Pain points? Learning need? Area(s) of improvement?

 Rationale: Define a meaningful and actionable problem/opportunity statement to focus on solving. This is perhaps the most challenging part of the process, as the definition of a problem/learning need (also known as a design challenge) will require you to synthesise your observations about your learners from the first stage we just completed.
 
 
 Generate ideas.

Go beyond the obvious solutions and dream BIG.

 Rationale: As a group, come up with as many ideas as possible so they can eventually be trimmed down to shape the learnbytes for the learning pathway. Be innovative, yet practical.

So I sort of felt like, 'hey, the IB hasn't really clarified their position on this, and I recognize that there are different views about how to do it, who am I to have a position on it.'
